When I game for a few hours straight I get an error message on my monitor saying, no signal detected - going into sleep mode. my PC is around 5 years old so it may just be starting to show its age. I think that its a video card issue but im not sure, my graphics card never goes above 80C so I don't think its an overheating problem. This has only happened very recently so I think it may be a problem with the psu.

Specs:
Nvidia geforce 8800 GTS
Intel Duo core cpu @ 31.6ghz
4gb ram

It is a Dell Vostro 420 series.

Solution
#1. LOOSE/DAMAGED monitor cable
#2. Too much moisture in the environment
#3. overheating cpu/gpu/chipset might cause mobo to shut itself as (thermal shutdown)
#4. psu might be faulty to cope up with high power needs

Try seing if the monitors cable is faulty then you see if it is the graphics card for I don't think it would be the psu otherwise other parts would have been Influenced.
