which Intel SSD are you comparing the EVO to? I personally have an Intel 530 Series 240GB and based on the benchmarks I've read up on, the EVO performs much better than the 530.
I think it was the 530 series. Do the other series (intel) have a much greater performance?
Intel 530 Series has a 540MB/s Seq.Read & 490MB/s Seq.Write and has a 5-year warranty. I believe it's the latest Intel SATA SSD offering. The 840 EVO has a 540MB/s Seq.Read & 520MB/s Seq.Write and has a 3-year warranty. It's also considerably cheaper than the Intel SSD for price per GB.
