Saphire HD7770 GHZ 1GB vs Asus HD 7790 Direct CU II OC 1 GB

Which would be better for gaming?

CPU i will be using is the Athlon x4 760K black

More about : saphire hd7770 ghz 1gb asus 7790 direct

7790 by a respectable margin, definitely go with that one!

thanks for the reply :)  do u happen to know the difference between ASUS and Saphire models?? i was thinking about getting the Saphire version of the 7790 as its cheaper.

7790 is better and is supported for mantle wich the 7770 does not

It depends, I know the Asus DirectCU II cooler is fantastic and quiet, not familiar with Sapphire's version. If it's doable, I would go with Asus personally, but Sapphire is a great brand as well.

Tl;dr either are fine, the Asus might be slightly cooler/faster

Yeah, do you have a link to the Sapphire one? If it is a reference design, then I would without a doubt recommend the Asus. The reference cards are cheaper, but do not have the cooling potential of the Asus, and are generally louder during gameplay

i looked on amazon and found the Asus for a reasonable price so ill go for that :)  thank you very much for your help.

Sapphire OC cards give the best performance! my friend got one and he loves it Bang for Buck.
