My new gaming pc will not go in bios

i have just built a new gaming pc.
when i turn the computer on it says press del or f2 to enter uefi bios setting, but when i press those key nothing happens when the screen has gone i got another one with all my specs and press f1 to run setup but when i press f1 a black screen appears? i havent got my dvd drive yet plus i have a fan error witch i can fix but not today, how do i fix this?

plz help

Are you just pressing the button? Or are you pressing it repeatedly? If you are only pressing it once I suggest making sure you press the F2 or DEL several times (just keep pressing it after you power on the computer). If that doesn't work try listing your motherboard and make sure your keyboard is working in the computer.

i have tried both ways and what do you mean listing you mobo if you mean what motherboard is it, its a m5a97 le r2.0
and my leyboard does work i have never booted this computer any further than this before its brand new i only finished building it 1 hour ago???? i really need this to work

when i keep press both of them it just skips that windows and i get a black screen and a list of my specs and stuff but at the bottom it says press f1 to run setup but when i press f1 it just gives me a black screen???

Maybe the Motherboard doesn't recognize the keyboard, this could happen if it is a USB Keyboard that needs drivers, but since it responds when you hit F1 I don't understand what it could be. Have you tried contacting the mobo's manufacturer for support?
