Solution
Well, all PCIe slots are forwards and backwards compatible, i.e. PCIe 1.0 cards work in PCIe 3.0 slots and PCIe 3.0 cards work in PCIe 1.0 slots. So in that sense, any GPU will fit and work. The only issue is that PCIe 1.0 (which you have on your board) has a lower information throughput than PCIe 3.0, so it's slower and reduces the efficiency of your GPU since the slot cannot transfer enough information. Thankfully, it shouldn't be too much. At worst, you could expect a modern PCIe 2.0 or PCIe 3.0 GPU to lose 5% efficiency, if even that.

In other words, you can buy any GPU and you're fine. Just make sure your power supply is up to snuff and that your CPU won't bottleneck you too much.
