ive seel alot of people go back and forth on this and im still not sure what i should go with. my resolution will be 1080p with some modding in games like skyrim and others. the highest ive seen the vram go on a radeon 7950 is 1.8gb on crysis 3 with msaax8 but some people say a game like bf 3 goes up to 2.2gb even on 1080p. would 2gb be enough for future releases? i know some people might just tell get the 3gb radeon if im not sure but gtx seems nice because it has features like physx and 3dvision and im told they are just better for gaming. please help as i appreciate it alot. thanks.

2 GB may be enough now but not for future releases or modifications. The more memory you get now the better for future games and/or crossfire/sli.

I hope this helps.

go with the 2gb trust me. the way games are coded latley and by the looks of it the future your better just sticking with 2gb. whats the point in having a 3gb card when its not being used. also games seem to be coded to use more RAM not vram. however the Radeon 7950 is a good card and has support for mantle

They are both VERY GOOD cards, go with the cheaper one because you won't see a huge difference in real world performance. And 2GB is enough for almost all games.

its being first implemented into bf4 but apart from that it should go into a lot of other games however my recommendation would be the cheapest card as they have very similar performance even though all in all the 760 wins

As the other readers have mentioned they are pretty much the same in performance. Whatever what fits your liking and is more affordable I would purchase that card.

I personally wold go with the card with 3 GB of memory over two for crossfire/sli, or a higher resolution down the road at some time.

That MSI GTX 760 Hawk is the absolute best and fastest 760 you can buy. The Gigabyte 7950, on the other hand, is run of the mill in terms of clock speeds. In this case, the 760 Hawk is a better and wiser choice. There are zero games where the extra VRAM will make a difference at normal resolutions.
