Hi,

I have an Asus Maximus x38 no over clocking or anything. I need more memory and in the future will be upgrading to an i7 something so I want to buy some mid/top range memory now use it in my current system then move to the new one.
My current memory is cack pc3 10700 2x2gb (got it free) so the question is can I buy something like Kingston 16GB DDR3 2133MHz Predator XMP Memory and it will run in my current system so I can use it in the future or not.

Thanks

That model supports faster memory. You COULD possibly put 2133 memory into that board with some overclocking and tweaking but in all honesty if you are not using the integrated GPU for gaming I would stick with 1333. I would advise just installing 4 2 GB sticks of 1333 memory.
