I have a HP a6400f PC. It is constantly telling me that I am running low on disk space. I have removed a lot of music, old programs, files. I have ran spy ware, anti virus and etc. Still nothing seems to help. I have had the pc for quite a few years and am not in any financial position to purchase a new tower. Is there any way to add memory/hard drive? or any other suggestions?

Adding a hard drive is very easy to do and is possible to do it yourself.

Typically, you void any warranty you have with a pre-built system like yours by opening the case, but since you said its a few years old, any warranty is probably long gone.

Any new SATA II drive in your budget will do. Stick with Seagate or Western Digital. 1TB drives on Amazon are about $60.

Here is a video of a hard drive installation for reference: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xN59W-56p3I

This is what is needed after first boot-up: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sPDrrkIh-d0

Alternatively, you could back up data on your PC to DVDRs, which is possible with your computer.

A spindle of DVDRs will run you about $20.
