Ok so my monitor is rubbish n doesn't work anymore so I decided to use my tv instead. I can't seem to get the HDMI to connect with my tv it just says searching for signal or searching for data. However when I put my VGA cable it works fine. Anyone had this problem and can I get my HD cable working with it or is this normal?

So just so you guys have a better understanding my gpu is a gtx 770 lightning. My tv is a 32 inch HD ready with 4 HDMI ports 1 vga port and some other usb port things for something I have no idea about. Anyway HDMI port just doesn't work the screen is black after searching so either it seems to have found my tv but it doesnt give me any picture this also happened with my last gpu too. So it isn't a gpu problem and the hdmi cable is fine it works on my old 360 I just checked. Am I missing something obvious.

hmmm maybe 5 years at most... it runs my xbox at 1080p/i with the same cable. The maximum resolution I can get with this cable is 1360 x 768 the vga cable I mean. Maybe it is just my tv I dont know.
