Hello there!

I have a Yamaha YSP-900 sound bar (has it's own amplification), and I am wondering if it's possible to connect to my Sony TA-FE700R amplifier.
I read somewhere that I could connect it to a 'preamp' slot (usually used for subwoofers), but my amplifier doesn't have one. I also read that the 'REC OUT" slots (which to my knowledge is used for tape recording) have fixed, invariable levels and by that I suppose that these connectors are not amplified by the Sony amp itself, so it sends out kind of a 'raw' signal which can be then amplified the sound bar itself.

To summarize: how can I connect the YSP-900 soundbar and the Sony TA-FE700R amplifier.

Thanks in advance, regards,

You can connect the tape record out of the Sony to one of the analog inputs of the Yamaha soundbar. You would control the source with the amp but the volume with the Yamaha.
