Power supply: cooler master 550 w

Cpu: amd fx 4 core black edition 3.8 ghz fx 4300

Motherboard: gigabyte am3+ amd ddr3 1333 760 g micro atx

Graphics card: gigabyte geforce gtx 660 oc 2 gb gddr5

Should I overclock my cpu I'm planning to use this build to game

Power supply is fine. As far as should you overclock it goes, it all depends on you. Overclocking will add more stress to your system, shortening the life and longevity of the CPU. Just like adding a turbo or supercharging a naturally aspirated car, although you can physically add a turbo or supercharger to it, it will put stress to the engine. Proper maintenance, cooling, etc will prolong it to the point where it's not as noticeable, but it's still that risk factor that is looming over your head. Slight to mild overclocks to 4.4GHz should be 'safe' provided you use a halfway decent cooler like a Cooler Master Evo.
