Greetings, I have a WD 3TB Red Drive, it was originally partitioned and formatted as a 746GB drive, I have erased all partitions yet the drive shows up in disk management as only having 746GB of unallocated space. How do I reset the drive to show the correct space available..Thanks for your assistance...

Hi

What does the BIOS think the disk size is 746 GB or 3TB or other ?

What operating system are you using?

have you erased the partition cylinder ?
(ensures all trace of previous partitioning is removed)

There are motherboard BIOS bugs which can do this sort of thing by trying to write to end of hard disk but getting it wrong and writing in middle

there is also software which can make the hard disk pretend to be smaller than it is.
look on WD website
(PATA hard disks used jumpers)
