I want my boot time to be as fast as possible as I'm just one of those people. But looking in BIOS, it seemed that it was already pretty well optimized. I disabled it to to check for any boot devices other than my SSD with windows, and disabled PS/2 connection enabling. I left alone USB support as it was on partial initialization, so that mice and keyboards would be recognized. I'm pretty sure disabling would shave off a few seconds, but wouldn't that mean I couldn't get into my BIOS? Also, I saw something that said HW Fast Boot. Fast Boot was already enabled, this was another thing. It was left at disabled, and I didn't touch it since I didn't know what it was. What it is? And if anyone suggests turning off Legacy driver support during POST, that didn't work, as it caused my rig to not load my OS, and I had to revert the changes. Thanks for any help!

my fastest cold boot i recorded was 41.88 seconds. My friend with the same SSD (Samsung 840 120 Gb) and same cpu (i7 4770k) has a much faster boot time. I don't know what his cold boot is, but his restart from pressing restart in windows 7 is 20 seconds. He uses the FastBoot thingy on his ASRock mobo. My restart time was somehow longer than my cold boot, at 61.37 seconds. It's still better than my laptop, but I want to be as fast as possible. Also, I think prioritization has no effect in the post. I wrote it as if I was speaking.
