The wifi on my computer has broken?

The wifi on my computer has broken I have restored it to factory defaults still broke tried installing drivers still broke and it's nothing to do with the wifi being turned off because it says it's on. I have a packard bell laptop running windows 8 please help.

make sure the wifi is enabled... some have a button to do this, and win8 has a button to enable it. click the internet icon in the lower right. Then rt click it to open network center and see if it is there.
try to setup a new connection and see what happens if nothing shows up in the center.

The wifi is enabled but it says it's turned off for some reason?
