I recently started a new build with MSI Z87-G45 Gaming MOBO and a Nvidia EVGA GTX 760 and everything was going very well until I hooked my DVI to my monitor and was not getting a signal out of my graphics card, I thought I was not plugging it in all the way but I noticed the fans were running, and everything else in the computer system is working very well, So I troubleshooted and installed newest BIOS, newest drivers ETC ETC. I went into BIOS and went into the Board Explorer and went to PCIE slots and it was displaying all of them were empty.
Please help :)

SPECS :
MSI Z87-G45 Gaming
Intel I7 4770k 3.5GHZ

How do you reset it if its just taking it out and back in then yes, I've done that. I think ive found the solution my BIOS is v1.2 and that's not compatible with the GTX 760 and the latest version is 1.6 but I cant seem to upgrade it any higher, ive downloaded many versions they all are v1.2

Have you loaded the GPU drivers, gone into BIOS and set primary display to PCI, PCI-E, PEG?

I seem to have lost the GPU installation disk, as as far as setting the primary display to PCI, PCI-E, PEG im not familiar with BIOS as much as I would like to be. SO maybe you can elaborate on how to.

Go into BIOS, select Settings>Advanced>Integrated Graphics Config.>Initiate Graphics Adapter: PEG/IGD. Select PEG. Next, press F10. When asked to "Save and Exit?" select "Yes". Computer will then reboot.

Still isnt recognizing, this is getting very frustrating. I have one more possible solution is it an absolute need that I use the installation disc geforce evga GTX 760 to work?

You should not "have to use" the EVGA installation disk. Any file that you need should also be available from the EVGA website.

But are you still on the v. 1.2 BIOS? The one that is incompatible with the 760? You still need to update your MB to the 1.6 BIOS. Do you know how to do that?

How were you able to obtain the screenshots? Were these with the Integrated Graphics?

Yes, as you can see i have it disabled, today I tried to put in another graphics card and the graphics card input nor the motherboard input would work, so that maybe something else to think about. I'm getting pretty frustrated i'm pretty fed up with this, never happened with any other board then this one.

If the second graphics card is known to work in another computer, this would seem to point to a MB issue. I suggest that you contact MSI Tech Support. If you are in the USA you can call them at 1-626-271-1004 http://service.msicomputer.com/msi_user/customerservice... , OR if you would prefer, you can submit an on-line service request at http://service.msicomputer.com/msi_user/ts_form.aspx

My experience with MSI Tech Support has been very good and I feel that they are very responsive.

It wouldn't hurt to contact EVGA and see if they have any additional suggestions for the GTX 760: http://www.evga.com/about/contactus/

Good luck, and please let us know what you find out!
