Ok ive clocked my 7970 from 925-1150 core and 1375-1500 memory but cant see any fps gains in games?

The clocks take effect instantly so i dont need to restart the game? And they are perfectly stable, i run an Asus 7970 and max temps are 65C at 24% fan speed auto fans.

Im amazed 225mhz is making no difference at all?

Could be a matter of some other bottleneck. For instance, if your CPU isn't good enough (especially with AMD cards) your GPU won't even get to full utilization.

Also, confirm with GPU-Z that you are getting the extra clocks, and check utilization.

I do have vsync on, but thats not what i mean, im not trying to get above 60 fps, im trying to boost my average/mins in certain areas and battles and the overclock doesnt seem to make a difference to them?

My CPU is not even being tested either so its not bottlenecking the card at all.

That OC should boost my average/mins a bit shouldn't it?

There's only so much that can do with V-Sync. Actually, V-Sync on can significantly lower your frame rate, and leave your card idling while it waits for a new monitor refresh cycle.

Which is to say, if you are anywhere near those 60fps, you aren't going to see much of a difference. If you were 45 or below, sure you should see some, but...

Vsync caps at 60 fps it doesnt effect minimums at all which is my point.

With the OC disabled i get the same mins as with it enabled which is not normal.

Im always at 60 fps unless a big battle is going on or something then it will drop, i use vsync in every game as i hate tearing.
