Hi Guys, I have just built a brand new pc, and the very first thing i did (after installing drivers and everything) was install Skyrim, but i have been very disappointed with the performance of the 780 AMP! edition so far. First off, it has atrocious coil whine, which i have pretty much fixed with adaptive v-sync, secondly, i am getting anywhere from 120(my monitor freq) to 28/29 fps in Skyrim. It auto detects my settings to be high. HIGH. I previously had a hd 7850, and the performance difference is minimal, and the fps varies so much, that in places like Whiterun and outside Riverwood, the 780 is actually worse than my old 7850. I've slightly overclocked the clock speed by about 50 mhz btw. I'm not sure if this is possibly a defective part, or some sort of driver issue etc, but i feel like i've just poured a lot of money down the drain on a GPU that's supposedly the 3rd best on sale.
Any help, however minimal would be greatly appreciated, as this is going to eat away at my insides, and i really don't want to have to mess about with warranties unless i have to.
Thanks.
