Low FPS GTX 760 BF4

I have just upgraded my video card to a GTX 760 but BF4 still runs at 30-40 fps at Auto settings( all is set to High and AA is off). A friend of mine has a GTX 560 TI and runs at 60 fps at the same settings. I was wondering what could be bottlenecking my system.

Specs:
OS: Windows 7 x64
CPU: Athlon II x4 650
Memory: 8GB DDR3 667mhz
MoBo: Foxconn 2AB1
GPU: GeForce GTX 760
HDD: Seagate ST310005 24AS SATA III-6Gb/s
PSU: Dynex 520Watts

well your CPU is a huge bottle neck, and BF4 is a pretty CPU intensive game.

You're definitely CPU bottlenecked. Try turning "Effects Quality" and "Post Process Quality" to low and see if that changes anything.

Also a blog post that I don't really trust said to lower AA, AO, and Mesh Quality, but hey, might be worth a shot.

To which processor could I upgrade to get 60+fps without having to upgrade the MoBo as well? The socket is an AM3.

Well, you can't, at least not reliably, but you best bet would be a Phenom II X6 of some sort. If you can get it to 4GHz then it should give you a min of 60.

I have a 760 and a fx6300 and im on ultra with aa at 2x. With a nice 60 fps.

you are limited to 95 watt phenom x6 processors for your upgrade
The most powerful is
Phenom II X6 1065T

You will not be able to overclock safely . The mb will not last

i would just spend more and upgrade your motherboard to am3+, am3 is pretty old

Yes Fer, I agree with everybody. You need to basically upgrade your entire system, including ram, ssd, mobo and PSU.

Thanks all for your help. I decided to upgrade to an FX-6350 and a M5A97 R2.0. Now BF4 runs at a minimun of 55-60 and up to 100fps!!
