Hi guys,
I just recently built my new system and I'm experiencing an annoying problem.
When I run some games and benchmarks, at some point, the monitor would just black out, but the system would still be running.
I was wondering if it has something to do with the GPU being too demanding on the power supply?

My components are:
Intel Core i5 4570
Patriot Signature 8GB Dual Kit
Asus H81-M Plus
MSI Geforce GTX 770 Gaming Edition
Western Digital Blue 1TB
OCZ Agility 3 60GB
Corsair VS650 650W PSU

Any thoughts would be great
Thanks

i dont know how to answer this but there sure seems to be a lot of posts on these nvidia 700 cards . i wonder if there just a bad run?? 650w should be fine.. and corsair is a solid brand i would say unless it just failed your good.. but look at all these therads on these cards wow

Bold part. These cards are not that power hungry at all(200-250MAX in most cases Link(206 MAX on techpowerup)).

Please check the event viewer for errors, maybe the video drivers are crashing or something.

I have an Inno3D GTX 770 ICHILL Herculez which i think is the most powerful among the 770s at default clocks (I never do overclocking), and i am running it on a 600W Chinese Brand PSU (I live in China). I heard corsair is a decent PSU, that 650w should be quiet enough for your RIG, I am almost sure that your PSU is not the problem you've got there, because usually when you're PSU is not strong enough, it just restarts the windows due to lack of power.

That is pretty much what is also happening. After the monitor display is gone, the whole system goes into reboot.

as of my own experience with my previews rig, i had an AMD 5750, with a Phenom 9950 BE, and a Green 485W, it was all working fine unless i used to overclock my CPU or GPU a little bit, it exactly rebooted over and over until i dropped everything back to the default clocks, and it would work fine again.

now it looks like that you're PSU is enough, but probably has got some defects, If you have any fans on your chassis, maybe you could power them off so that you could have more power. I am pretty sure 650W is enough for your RIG.

PS, if you've had any overclocks, turn them back to default clocks and see if there will be any changes.
Hope this helps!

Hi there, sorry to Necro this post, but I've just noticed I don't know what my 12V ampage is and I'm having nightmareish displaydriver crashes
I'm using a Powercool Pentium P4 model:pC-650AUBA-B. I can't find the ampage anywhere and the sticer on the side has been torn off.. Not too sure who by either.. (looks at younger sibling and grabs pitch fork).

Any help would be apreciated.
