Hi,

I just want to think if i should buy another Sapphire HD 7950 boost edition for CF or just go for ssd. I am playing games like Battefield 4, Crysis 3, Skyrim etc.

Here are my specs:
Mobo: Asus M5A99FX PRO R2.0
CPU: AMD FX 8350 4.0 GHZ
GPU: Sapphire HD 7950 Boost State Edition
RAM: Gskill Sniper 8GB 1600 mhz
PSU: FSP Epsilon 700watts 80+
Monitor: Samsung 20" monitor 1600x900

Thank you!! ^_^

Solution
Since you arent even on 1080p it will not be worth it.
Get the SSD.
With the rising prices of 7950s and crossfire issues I wouldnt recommend it, let alone for anything less than 1080p/ multiple monitors.

Keep in mind that an SSD will speed up boot times, speed up anything having to do with file manipulation and unzipping for example, as well as improving load times in games BUT, it won't give you better fps in your games. That being said, if you can reach a solid 60fps on ultra settings in the games you mentioned, than an SSD would definitely be the best upgrade for your computer. If not though, you should crossfire your gpu and you will see improvement. That doesn't mean that if you get 35 fps right now you'll get double that, but it will improve.

Disclaimers out of the way, I would opt for an SSD because the 7950 is very powerful and it won't help you THAT much to crossfire at that resolution.

An SSD might take you down from a 20 second boot on a good HD to the 15 second range.....if that floats ya boat, by all means get a SSD. I have two SSHDs (2TB Seagate)and two SSDs (Samsung 840 Pro - 512 GB) in this build and when I boot from either the twin SSDs or the SSHD, it's if ya not literally staring at screen and counting, I don't notice which is which.

The 2nd GFX card OTOH will give ya 60% increase in performance....assuming ofc that ya CPU can keep up.
