Here's my rig, and I'm completely new to the overclocking scene and what is safe and what temps/voltages may damage my hardware:

Operating System
Windows 8.1 64-bit

CPU
Intel Core i5 3570K @ 3.40GHz
Ivy Bridge 22nm Technology

RAM
8.00GB Dual-Channel DDR3 @ 804MHz (11-11-11-28)

Motherboard
MSI Z77 MPower (MS-7751) (SOCKET 0)

Graphics
VG248 (1920x1080@60Hz)
2047MB NVIDIA GeForce GTX 770 (EVGA)

PSU
750W Corsair

Storage
931GB Seagate ST1000DM003-1CH162 (SATA)
111GB KINGSTON SH103S3120G (SSD)

Optical Drives
ASUS DRW-24B1ST i

Audio
NVIDIA Virtual Audio Device (Wave Extensible) (WDM)

Thanks for viewing and the assistance!

Anything at stock voltage is generally safe. It's when you start increasing voltage that hardware safety really becomes a concern. Also keep an eye on temps.

How far you can go will depend in part on which PSU ....Corsair doesn't tell me anything as they make some great but they also make some crappy PSUs. The Corsair HX is the best to hit market from an OC'ers standpoint (except for the 1000 and 1050 watt units). They had very low ripple and better voltage regulation than the latter AX series ... which while they saved you a few cents if electricity each month, were bit weaker on ripple and voltage control. The TX V2 series is very good..... other v series and M suffix ones not so much.... the CX has had quality control issues.

The 3570k is a decent OC'er falling between HW and SB ... with a decent cooling solution, 4.5 or 4.6 should be doable easy enuff.....more if ya got lucky .

To be specific, my PSU is a CX750M. And I'm guessing that the 4.5 - 4.6 is a good OC, you're saying?

I'm not sure where your going with this. ANY corsair 750w psu will be adequate for his needs and they have not really had any quality control issues to speak of. Obsessing over marginal differences in Ripple and voltage control are really out of place here.
