You are still using a Cat 5 UTP cable. To have a Gigabit connection, you must have a Cat 5e or Cat 6 cables. Orange light means Fast Ethernet (100 Mbps) and Green light means Gigabit Ethernet (1 Gbps).

Make sure that both switch ports(of the Netgear) and your network adapter(in your PC) supports Gigabit ethernet connection at full duplex.
