Hard drive noticably loud?

I installed everything for my PC into a new case today, and it's amazing... but the Hard drive (or what Ive concluded to be the HD, I'm not 100% sure) is very loud to what I expect. It vibrates a lot, and I can feel it on my desk and it sounds like a very light grinding every half second or so.

Is this normal? Or maybe its due to it not being properly secured? I'd like some info before I go about anything.

Could be the HDD but I've seen faulty or worn optical disk drives vibrate like that too. Are all the cables secure to all drives, and is either the HDD or optical drive re-used from an older system?

It's used from my rig, just put everything in a new case (Fractal Define R4), and from what I know the HDD is fully secured, but I'll check the cords.

do you happen to have a WD black? if so, i heard (not literally) that they are loud and hot.

I don't know, I have a few of them (WD Black) which aren't particularly noisy. Maybe there are a few affected batches or just a few here or there.
