I have a Presario CQ62-219WM laptop. The charging light on the side is blinking orange, it was solid orange earlier in the day. I have done some research and found it may be a power supply/battery problem. When I hover over the battery icon it says: 93% (plugged in, not charging)

This laptop is 2 or 3 years old, so I think the battery may be shot, but I want a more definite answer before I go hunting for a new one. Any help would be appreciated!

(Sorry if this isn't the right section for this type of question, I wasn't sure where to put it)

unplug the ac and recheck the charge level of the battery it could be the charger part on the laptop that is defective .

I unplugged it from the AC and waited a little bit, checked the power level and it said "94% Remaining." I checked again a few minutes later and it was back to 93% Remaining. I plugged in the AC again and the level dropped to 91% (Plugging in, not charging)

Any ideas?

when you use on battery it is right that charge will fall down the best way to find if it is the battery is to use her until system stop then plug in the ac an see if she will charge and at what level old battery use to have some kind of memory that stop them charging at full charge .
