Is the AMD A8-5600K with the R7850 good for basic gaming?

Solution

yeah 750k is your best option since its prob the best value/price cpu out there now
You prob wouldnt be OCing with a build like this so the stock cooler is prob fine
What you should be thinking is getting a proper psu since with a generic psu like that, your house might burn within a week, especially if u are running a pretty high demanding GPU.
I only recommand Corsair, Antec and Seasonic.
This would prob do pretty well:http://
You should also forget the wifi card cause believe, Gaming on a crappy wifi card is suicidal.(enjoy 10k ping lagg every 30sec is truly fun). Also, you prob wouldnt be needing that dvd rom.

Yeah i forgot to remove the Wifi Card. I need the DVD Drive to install my OS. Like I said I'm on a budget and getting a Corsair PSU is really expensive in the UK.

Yeah sadly those branded psu are about 20-40$ above the generic ones(here in america atleast). But i think its worth it since it gives u the peace of mind that you wounldnt wake up in the middle of the night dreaming that ur psus just burnt all ur components.
I dont mind crappy brands as long as they work but PSU is the only thing that you HAVE to go with a proper brand. Some generic psu lies about their specs and protections and 50% of them cant deliver the written wattage.
Thinks that in like 5 years your pc is prob outdate except your psu :D
Its a better investement in the longterm
