Hi there,

I have an Asus G75VW-TS72 which has an nVidia GTX 670M and I have been running one external monitor for a while now perfectly fine. I found an older monitor laying around the house and tried to use it however in the display settings the older monitor is blacked out and is "disconnected". The first, newer, monitor is connected from the HDMI port but I used an HDMI --> DVI converter and the second is through VGA. Why am I not able to use both external monitors at once? Is it my settings or my graphics card?

The GPU can only support either digital out or analogue out but not both.

So you're limited to two monitors (one with hdmi and one with mini-dp).

So then if I use the hdmi port for one monitor and the mini-display for the other I could have 3 in total? (2 external + the laptop display) or are you saying that I can only use one at a time?

saying that it should support 3 total in the configuration you described. 2 external via hdmi & mini-dp + laptop display.
