Does this system build look ok for a starter gamer?

Try and upgrade to ddr3 1600mhz. Price should be comparable to 1333mhz, so no reason to settle for less. I would look for a Psu from Corsair, Antec, SeaSonic, XFX instead of that one. The Psu is integral to your entire system, so you don't want to get a unit that isn't a good quality. When Psu's go south on you, they can take the entire system with them, let's avoid that with a better quality unit.

Other than that, it's a fairly solid budget build. What is your overall budget, and could you purchase parts from the vendors on uk.pcpartpicker.com ?
