I'm a bit of a noob when it comes to computer hardware, I have an HP Pavilion p7-1234 with a AMD A6-3650 APU that is 2.6 GHz and was wondering if I could put in a GTX 650 ti Boost in it. I've read that this can bottleneck your processor but is there a way to stop the graphics in the APU and just have it be a CPU. I do not want to spend the extra money on a new CPU if it isn't totally necessary. Thanks!

The problem is not the IGP; it is the slow CPU cores: a slow CPU is a slow CPU regardless of whether its IGP is enabled or disabled.

If you cannot get the performance you expect out of your GTX650 based on other people's results with the GTX650 when used with stronger CPUs, you will need a better CPU.
