i have been wanting to upgrade my graphics card for sometime now and i was thinking on buying a gtx 770 but i have heard reports that my cpu would bottleneck it. I want to be able to play battlefield 4 on ultra my max price range is about $350. I wanted someone's opinion before i buy.

PC specs:
amd fx 6300 six core
8gb corsair vengence ram
ASUS M5a97 R2.0 mobo
650 watt ultra PSU

Nice build haha we have very much the same components. Anyways battlefield 4 isn't super difficult to run. I will give you 2 options one from amd and one from nvidia so that you can decide which features you like better, like physx from nvidia and overdrive and the soon to arrive mantle from amd, not to mention eyefinity :) Well into the graphics...

Nice build haha we have very much the same components. Anyways battlefield 4 isn't super difficult to run. I will give you 2 options one from amd and one from nvidia so that you can decide which features you like better, like physx from nvidia and overdrive and the soon to arrive mantle from amd, not to mention eyefinity :) Well into the graphics cards. We don't really want to spend all of your budget because it would be nice to have some money left over. Now battlefield 4 says that it needs 3gb vram. You won't really be seeing this from nvidia until you reach 400$ cards, so amd might be in favor for this one. The Nvidia Card: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814130919
The Amd Card: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814125496
Now I will justify my choices, I went with the nvidia 770 from evga because it is a powerful card in general, you will be maxing out almost all of todays newest titles including battlefield 4. It is a great card although it has a pretty big price tag, it also comes with free batman arkham something, forgot what it was. Now for the amd card I went the windforce 4gb r9 270x. It is a great card in general and it has 4gb vram which will be very good for future games that will be needing more vram. Also the card itself is strong and powerful and costs way less than the 770. This card can also max out bf4 and it is 100$ cheaper. So now it comes down to your own preference, save the money and get the amd or s[end more nd get the 770. I would personally get the 270x and save the money because I also like the features amd cards have, but it all comes down to you. Have fun building:) Hope I helped!
