Which is better in your thought?

I have no experience in over clocking whatsoever.

i7 3770k with Z77A GD65 Gaming.

OC genie usually sets the voltage higher than necessary. Watch a video on youtube about overclocking with your specific motherboard and it should be easy enough

I can never find any overclockers with the Z77A GD65 gaming.

Then try a video with another MSI board. BIOS should be similar between the two

What you could do is activating your OC Genie (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ujyEGCDhx40, the specs should be around there) and simply manually lower the voltage if you want to. The OC Genies voltage is just to guarantee stability, but it might tear more on your CPU than necessary.
