I'm building my first rig, i've to use a Bitfenix Prodigy - Anyway I keep reading about fans and understand that I need intake and exhaust fans.

My question, what is an exhaust fan?

An exhaust fan is one that pulls air out of the case. These are usually located on the top and back of the case. There's no difference between an intake fan and an exhaust fan, per se. The determining factor is their orientation in your case.

The exhaust fan is a fan that moves air out of an enclosure.

Ahh brilliant, I thought as much. So basically any fan can act as an exhaust fan!
