My specs (Very recently built new PC):

AMD FX 6300 @ 4.2GHz
MSI 970A-G43 Motherboard
MSI R9 270X Gaming
Corsair Vengeance Blue 8Gb @1600Mhz
Kingston SSDNow 120Gb
WD Blue 1Tb 7200RPM
Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit

Monitor: Acer s201hl @ 1600 x 900

For maybe the first month after building this PC, everything was fine. I could play my games and start up and log in with no errors. I had Catalyst 13.11 Beta Drivers then updated to Catalyst 13.12. Recently, my system's display is acting odd. It used to be that every time I log in to Windows normally it would only bring up a blue screen with vertical lines, not letting me into the desktop. I tried everything: reverting back to 13.11 beta drivers, deleting the driver and going to Standard VGA Adapter in Device Manager then re-installing fresh, using cd that came with card, even re-installing windows 7. Nothing. Still the same.

I've configured it now so that I can log into windows normally (not in safe mode), but by turning off Windows Aero (going to windows classic theme) and disabling visual effects in advanced system settings. Now I can log in normally, but whenever I try to open up google chrome, any game, or clicking on video or monitor drivers in Device Manager, it suddenly brings up the blank screen with vertical lines. Not sure if it could be my monitor, because I tested the PC with a TV through HDMI and it did the same thing.

Anybody know much about the AMD R9 200 Series Drivers or what could be causing this error or ways to fix it? I went into dxdiag and it comes up with no errors and saying everything is fine and the driver is WHQL'd. Also does anyone know what graphic driver or dll that initializes with Chrome and Aero? That might be the problem because disabling those lets me log in. Really frustrating....

Yeah that sounds about right actually. But I dont know why it couldn't last like that. Maybe it's because the card series recently came out
