Hi everyone ever since I got my PC second hand, installed with windows 7, it has been BSODing like mad. So I figured I'd do a clean install of Windows 7. It BSODed everytime it hit the part where it was expanding the files. So I tried Windows XP, it succeeded. It stills BSODs but only when it's idle/I'm not around 'cause when I game, it never BSODs ever.
I did a memory and HDD check which passed. Anyone have any thoughts on why this used PC would be doing this?
The specs are:
Intel Q6600 Quad-core 2.4GHz
G41MT-D3 MOBO
2x2GB Mushkin 1333mhz RAM
GeForce 9600 GSO
I have ordered all new parts but I would still like to know what the cause is because I'm to be giving my bro some spare parts.
