GTX 760 4gb GPU not working with my P6T Deluxe V2 x58...

I'm about at my wits end here. I've been building PCs for years and I just don't know what I am doing wrong.

My current setup is:

i7 920 CPU
x58 Asus P6T Deluxe v2 Mobo latest 1202 bios
750w EVGA PSU (Just bought it thinking I had inadequate power)

I've read back and forth that the P6T Deluxe V2 is fine for the GTX 760 video card. I have seated and reseated this thing a few times and am now reverted back to my 560Ti.

The problem is I get the new GPU in and I get nothing, but a black screen. Monitor reads no signal. I have everything plugged in and the fans on the GRU are running. It even reacts to having a DVI cable plugged in/not plugged in. I'm just getting absolutely no signal at all.

Does anyone know what is going on and why I am getting this failure? Is the card defective? I read about 2 bios onboard the GPU. I left them at defaults and didn't want to mess with those.

Any help would be great. I've spent way more time and money than should have been necessary to get this up and running. It should have been a quick swap out, cable plug in and go.

Thanks for any help!

    im not sure exactly whats going on but i suspect a faulty card. Even if you tried hdmi and it worked, the card would still be faulty.

    Just for reference, i have the exact same board and bios revision and the Gigabyte 780 was a swap and go job from my old 5870.

    return the card i believe.
  2. @boju Yeah I even tried the HDMI port and there was nothing. Same problem of no signal found.
    there more bios files then the one you posted.
    one this to watch out for on older mb is having another card in the slot next to the video card. some older mb both slots were wired together and some cards dont work together. i would also see if it an irq issue. in your bios turn off your printer port and com ports to free up irq7 and 3/4. see if the card will post then. make sure you did not make a new builder error and not fill both power plugs on the gpu if there two six pin ports. on some older mb with some super clock non ref cards if they pull to much power at post some wont boot. some of the 660/670 had this issue when a vendor was caught over volting there cards to make them run faster.
  4. I'll try those bios settings on the ports and see if that maybe helps. I did have a card next to the primary pciex slot but even after removing that and keeping it independent there was no change.

    It sucks because I get no beep warnings or any other indicators upon powerup. The card is getting power. I have a new evga 750w modular psu specifically designed for these cards and it's hooked up to a 6pin and 6+2 pin power slot. I don't believe I have too much going through it at all.
  5. I have no way of disabling specific IRQ spots. I'm just going to get it returned and replaced. If I go through EVGA it will take longer to get a new one processed than Amazon.
