Does the system POST? Have you connected the power cables to the SATA drives?

That's the way the SATA and the power cables should be connected.

Okay, there are two (2) cables required for the DVD (Samsung) drive. And two cables for the Hard Drive (Seagate)
SATA Cables:
- your motherboard came with 2 black SATA cables shown here in picture #4

- connect one end to the motherboard, picture #3 bottom right hand corner of board:

- connect the other end to the drive.
- do this for BOTH drives

- connect a SATA power cable from power supply to back of each drive.
