Ok so my friend and I were installing a our AMD Radeon 6670 into the Asus M5A97 R2.0 Motherboard when I accidentally dropped it and it smashes on the floor! Everything else was fine but had gained a few hundred bucks in the last month and was wondering if I bought the Amd Radeon 7870 with the same motherboard and a AMD FX4300 CPU? Would the CPU bottleneck the GPU? If so what motherboard or CPU changes should I make?

Thanks In advance!

Solution
they would run fine for most games but cpu bound games may have issues as the 4300 isnt a particularly strong cpu. its not a quad core its a quad module which is comparable to a dual core i3. so yes you will have some bottleneck issues especially if your wanting to play a game like bf3/4

Solution
decent enough parts. personally i would get a motherboard that supports up to 125w cpu's(not sure if your choice will) rather than being limited to 95w cpu's as you will be able to upgrade the cpu to an 8350 which is currently hitting the sweet spot for gaming on the amd platform.
