Does anyone know if there is a benchmark for the non reference gtx 780s? I would like to know which one is best for overclocking and performance wise.

I am looking into:

Asus GeForce gtx 780 directcu ii
MSI GeForce gtx 780 twin frozr
EVGA GeForce gtx 780 SC w/ ACX Cooler
MSI GeForce gtx 780 lightning

Looking into this in case the non reference r9 290s are unavailable within the next 3-4 weeks.

Just a side note I will be using the card mainly to play battlefield 4 on a 1080p monitor.

Any help would be great, thanks!

Here are the review of vast non ref GTX 780s. http://www.techpowerup.com/reviewdb/Graphics-Cards/NVIDIA/GTX-780/

All of those cards are very good. Choose one that fits your budget. I personally went with the Asus because I have an ROG board. MSI Lightning if I went with MSI Mpower board. That's just my preference.

Just an advice. You'll want a 120Hz monitor or higher to take advantage of the high FPS as I'm picking up a Asus VG248QE w/ you can upgrade it to Gsync compatible. Over 60 FPS on a 60Hz monitor will cause screen tearing.

thanks for the quick reply, i will also have a ROG mobo (maximus vi formula) and have been looking at all of the benchmarks in the link you provided. a lot of the cards tend to not come with a backplate, which is an issue since these cards are BIG and heavy.
Build Specs:
i5 4670k
maximus vi formula
gskill 2x4GB 1866 cl9 1.5V
samsung 840 evo 120gb
750W PSU corsair or seasonic
My only concern with the asus dcu ii is that its clocked the lowest of all the non reference 780 models. how much does that impact the performance compared to the other cards? Also Zotac and Gogabyte seem to be good options as well, both coming out of the box with the highest manufacturer OC boost numbers.

As for the monitor, Im looking at the Asus VN247H-P, but if i will get much better performance with the VG248QE than i will have to consider it as a viable option.

true, it does have great oc capabilities, at least ive now narrowed it down to the asus dcuii and the evga sc/acx. ill still look into more reviews and compare the two as much as possible before making a final decision. wish i could get my hands on a classified version of the evga here in canada, but doesnt look like its available.

as for the monitor, im sold on the VG248QE, thanks!

as far as overclocking goes the most popular is easily the evga classified. the msi lightning is great too and also the galaxy hall of fame. if you dont plan on soft modding for some voltage tweaking and llc conditioning to get to 1.4ghz+, i wouldnt spend the extra money on those though. but its well worth it to run a skynet custom bios and unlock the gk110's true potential. if i were you i would get the evga classy. also if down the road you want to hard mod and water block the classy, lightning, and hof are better setup to be soldered on easily because of their pcb's.

i found a EVGA classified on newegg.ca for 610$ but the sc version is 560$ so im not so sure if the extra 50$ is worth for squeezing the extra few (single digit) fps when gaming. the Asus is available for 570$ which is pretty much the same as the sc version evga has out. (all prices in CAD)

as for oc'ing i wont be messing around with any voltages, the standard oc will be enough for now, and when things start to get slow i can always SLI with a second GPU

Thank you all for your replies! If anyone else has any other benchmarks or opinions, please feel free to post!
