This is probably a noob question since im new to all this but...is this normal?

CPU-Z shows my processor jumping to weird frequencies is it normal

If it doesn't affect anything, don't care about it. It might be reading Turbo boost somehow wrong.

Edit: If you get it to validate at that moment, then nice overclock :p

Maybe its a bug, try updating CPUZ to the latest version

Its what new turbo boost cpu do.. They do save energy when they slow down and when you need more power then MHz jumps up.. so it is fine. Just use it :)

It would propably just shut down. And create a Black Hole as a side-effect :C
