Morning,I have recently built a computer for my kids, its the ASUS A85XM-A,Gskill ripjaw 8 gigs of ram and the AMD A-4000 APU,im using an older SATA drive and a 650 watt Thermaltake PSU.

ive installed windows 7 64 bit,my issue is when i install the display adapter video driver for the APU windows doesnt boot, but if i roll back the driver to the standard vga adapter driver windows boots fine. Ive changed the the display adapter in bios to IXGA and PCI/PCIE and it doesnt change still crashes using the ATI driver. I did notice since my ram is 1600 i have to down clock it to 1333 for it to post, im getting to the point to just bypass the APU and throw in a GT240 graphics card here. Also ive read where the sata drivers are crashing windows, they ARE NOT installed im using windows drivers since im not running raid also my bios is updated to 6402 which is the newest available

Update: So i had an old Radeon X1650 i threw in the pcix slot, and now it runs stable, running memtest on the ram to see if i have errors. Everytime i go to install the display drivers for the APU,the system just reboots over and over again or locks up ive checked settings in the bios they seem right unless im missing something. Since its for my kids i might just bypass the APU and buy a cheap 30-40 dollar card since they dont play any high end games. If anyone has any thoughts or ideas it would be greatly appreciated.
