Hi chaps
I wanted to ask: I'm running a audio station for music production which means no power saving is allowed, I did a simple overclock to 4Ghz (use 40 to multiplier) and left voltage to "auto"
is this ok? my system looks pretty stable now

Yes it's ok.

dont use auto voltage. begin with increasing multiplyer to see the limmits of the cpu with stock voltage. then slightly increase the stress test for stability. manually will achive better speed with lower voltage and less heat produced by the cpu.stock cooler isnt recommended for overclocking though

thank you for your answers guys
I don't want to mess with my cpu, 4ghz is more then enogh
I thought on setting the voltage to 1.25 because I saw that on stress test the voltage increases to 1.22 on my cpu-z

Just a quick question:
I stayed with the 4ghz overclocked and set cpu override voltage to 1.125 at manual mode.
Am I safe? everything running smoothly and much faster then before, temp doesn't go over 55°-60° on stress test

Best solution

yes thats what i was talking about.see..same speed lower voltage and better temps.i run 3770k on 1.216 v 4.43ghz
if not stable just increase voltage by 0.005v until it is. you can easily achive better speeds

Thanks dude yea maybe I will raise the clock more but I have no need for more clock speed
