Cheaper Case and Aftermarket Fan

I'm building a budgeted gaming PC. My concerns are, since I went for a cheaper case and fan, will the performance be affected? It's better to have an aftermarket fan then the stock fan, but since I cheaped out, I'm afraid that the stock fan may perform better than the actual separate fan. Also, do all 3.5 inch hard drives fit all PC cases? http://pcpartpicker.com/p/2uZpK

Thanks for the reply. I do plan on overclocking the R9 270, since it got good benchmark reviews while overclocking, so I will have to purchase the aftermarket fan, I guess. About the hard drive, I do not plan on purchasing the hard drive I had chosen on the PC Part Picker website. I want to use a HITACHI Deskstar 7K160 that I cleaned/wiped of all files, which came from my 8 year-old PC. Will that hard drive be compatible with the other components that I had listed? Thanks.

Why so? I have 2 7K160's from my dad's office, which gives him free hard drives. One had its time well on my old PC, and did a good job. I'm talking about the other HDD that is the 7K160, which was used for only a month before I sold everything else EXCEPT the hard drive since I was running low on money. It really isn't that used, at all. Should the one-month-used 7K160 be reliable?

Well but how old is it?
Also for how long has it been sitting idle??

The thing's been idle/untouched for about 3 or 4 years! That's a pretty long time... :p
