So hoping this is possible I ask, how do I get this graphics card (the GeForce 8800 GTS) to work with my APU? (the A8 6600k)

I've already tried just plugging it in and installing the drivers via Nvidia Website with no luck. I know Nvidia products are designed with Intel in mind but this should still work right?

Also I tried disabling the APU graphics hoping the computer would then detect the GeForce graphics card, but then had to wait 15 minutes for my motherboard to reset.

Thanks for your time

Hello... I'm a Intel guy... But in mine it is called disabling IGT, as the on cpu/gpu... Also there is a Boot Priority setting too in my MB Bio's, I can run both at same times with my Windows device manager settings, Does Windows see it Plugged in? if it does then the MB sees it and is reporting it plugged in.
It is a balancing ACT with boot/windows/video out connectors... try a different connector, it might be working... But the connector your plugged in will not display.
One connector will boot the BIO's and One connector will turn on in Windows Boot screen o_O
