So the 3 cards I am trying to decide between are the;

ASUS DirectCU II @ £260
EVGA SC w/ ACX Cooling @ £270
MSI Lightning @ £280

I read other threads and a lot of mixed reviews, but the prices were a lot different. There is only £20 in these & would like to just buy the cheapest card, although I want to make sure that card isn't known to run vastly high temps.

So which would be the best card? I wouldn't mind forking out an extra £20 if it's cooler, quiter or better performance.
Thanks for your time :)

P.S if it helps this is the build I am planning on using it in if it helps: http://uk.pcpartpicker.com/user/Pedge/saved/3l0V

I'd go w/ the Asus, love the CU cooling and the 770s OC very well, next choice would be the EVGA - again good cooling but feel the Asus is a few degrees better and I've been able to OC them higher, the MSI I would't get

I don't know if you missed of the end of your reply? haha.

I am looking more towards ASUS or EVGA now. Seen a lot of people say the ASUS runs cooler and quieter, but does this hinder it's performance compared to the EVGA card?

EVGA is the highest rated and probably the best quality of card. Now I'm not saying MSI and ASUS don't do a great job I'd absolutely buy one myself. EVGA has amazing customer support! I will swear by it and I know many other would too.

Haha no problem. I've decided to go with the ASUS DC2 anyway, I'm sure it will serve me just as well as the EVGA. Didn't want to spend anymore time nitpicking :)

Lol I read, "MSI I would(n't) get" anyways. I am not very fond of MSI's products. I Just came across this forum post, and I was deciding the same as to the Asus vs the EVGA. The Asus GTX 770 suits me better.

I can tell you are a good Asus buyer Tradesman1. I would surely love to get some responses from you when I get my gaming PC parts. I have to raise enough money first, so don't hold your breath. Thanks of the great answers.

Let me know when you gather up the parts, and Yes Asus is among my favs - mobos I only build on it, the Rock and GB, GPUs they are primarily my #1 in both nVidia and AMD cards with EVGA #2 on the nVidia side and GB on the AMD side, laptops are Lenova and Asus, and most recently, my son runs a rather large Boy Scout Troop and wants to make it as paperless as possible, after looking at everything we decided to set things up based on tablets, to that end took a good long hard look at the tablet market and in particular the iPad (he already has one of those) the Samsung, Toshiba, Lenova and Asus tablets...After evaluating all he's decided on the Asus tablet family, for the most part to be used as tablets, but got some Transformers (with keyboard docks) for app development and have been yoying with one this last week end, very nice....I've got a nice Samsung (was expensive comparatively) and think it may end up on a shelf, really like the Transformer so far, think it will be great for my work. ;)

about the transformer,
I have not tried it but I recently bought a microsoft surface 2 tablet ans I absolutely love it. Its the performance of a mid range pc in a tablet !!! and very convenient for work, I have to do a lot of estimate (I'm a contractor) and I always have it with me. It can easily run cad program like autocad (through the stock rendering app obviously take longer than on my beast pc)
