Best solution for my internet connection

So I have the Virgin Media Superhub downstairs in my house and my computer is upstairs, basically as far away to the Superhub as possible lmao. The Superhub is a modem and router in 1 by the way if you weren't familiar. I want a wired connection. I cannot drill a holes through the floors and walls to lead a wire through and I can't move the Super up into my room. So, what's the best option for me to have a wired connection; buying a good router for my room and wire my PC into the router or would using a powerline adapter be better, in terms speed. There are powerline adapters that use wired also by by the way.
Summary, router vs powerline adapter for speed.

2nd router not needed or wanted.

If you can run a wire to the theoretical 2nd router in your room, you can run a cable direct to the PC. If you're thinking of the existing coax line in the wall....no, that will not work.

Powerline is probably your best solution.

Okay, so what you're saying is wiring my PC to a powerline adapter using an Ethernet cable (which is then connected to the superhub downstairs using another Ethernet cable out the other end) will be faster than wiring my PC straight into a router which wirelessly connecting to the super hub downstairs.

Also, can you clarify what you meant here for me; "If you're thinking of the existing coax line in the wall....no, that will not work." My house has Fibre optic broadband connection, not copper wiring.

OK. Wasn't sure of what your connection was.

Your options:
1. An Access Point, talking via WiFi to the main router. (or a router turned into an access point).
2. Powerline through the house wiring
3. A regular ethernet cable to the main router

Option 1 is iffy. If you can't get a reliable WiFi signal on the PC from that distance, an Access Point next to your PC can't either. The ideal would be an Access point midway between. It gets a stronger signal from the router, and your PC gets a stronger signal from the AP.

Option 2 - Unknown. Every house is different

Option 3 is obviously the best. But if you can't, then either 1 or 2.

Ah, I see then. So theoretically, a powerline adapter is the closest thing to a wired connection I can get, second to actually plugging a 30 ft ethernet cable straight into the main router/super hub. Also, just out of curiosity, would a 30ft+ ethernet cable be good or would the connection be considerably slower than a short wire. Maybe closer to the speed of a power adapter connection?

30' ethernet is just fine. No speed loss at all. Ethernet is theoretically good to 10 times that (100 meters)
