Hey,

I build a fresh PC and finished it yesterday, on which the CD/DVD drive was working (even after closing up the case and finishing with the hardware.

I've noticed today that I don't see my CD/DVD drive when I go into Star --> Computer, however it is detected in the device manager under disk drives. It also flashes on start up and makes a sound, but doesn't respond to ejecting after that.

I installed some Windows Updates and drivers, so I'm not sure if there's been any other issues which could have caused it. I would highly appreciate some help on this, thanks!

I've just fixed the issue, I basically went to "Backup and Restore" and turned on my schedule to backing up, as I had disabled this before but as I've just revisited this I noticed my CD drive was "disconnected" despite being read in BIOS etc, after said backup shedule being turned on, it seems to have worked. Even my D drive is showing up again in my computer.

Use a straightened paper clip, less likely to break.
