So I'm helping my friend install some new parts, we installed a new motherboard processor and graphics card. Couldn't get it to start up figuring it was a driver thing we reformatted. All ran well Installed all the drivers, even tried out some games every thing was perfext . woke up this morning computer is frozen , restarted it and now the monitors won't respond every time ( still in standby) and also if I try to turn it off after I turn it on the power button even if held does nothing.. Please help. Thanks

Specs from what I know.
M5A97 R 2.0 motherboard
FX 8350 CPU
AMD XFX HD 7870
Ripjaws ram ( actually from my computer has been tested)
650w PSU. Anything else important I'm missing? I think I put all that matters.

your psu delivers more than enough power so it isnt that. It could be a windows error but im not quite sure. You could try updating your mobo bios and see if it helps or try reinstalling windows

I could but its all older . old mobo, old processor, DDR2 ram. its a bit of a hassel and in the process of getting this computer running (yesterday) we tore apart the whole computer (meaning taking out the motherboard and re swapping everything) but even if we do re-format it it will be to the old hardware and we didn't want to reformat and lose his stuff, but the only way i could do it at the time was to reformat with all the new hardware. it ran great for a day. I may end up repeating the process but really want to find another way to avoid this problem again xD. also I dont have a day off to help him again for a week. he can do some on his own but not alot. thanks ahead of time again for any ideas :)
