Solution E E EpicEagle44 Jan 4, 2014 If it's just for gaming, get 8 gb of DDR3-1600 RAM, with CAS 9 latency.

sweenytodd Honorable Aug 13, 2013 898 1 11,660 Jan 4, 2014 #6 16gb shold be sufficient. http://www.newegg.com/Product/ProductList.aspx?Submit=ENE&N=100007611%20600006130%20600006127%20600052012&IsNodeId=1&Description=gskill%2016gb&name=Dual%20Channel%20Kit&Order=PRICE&Pagesize=20 definitely 2x8gb... it prevents memory controller issues that sometimes arise if you use all 4 slots. for you memory intensive applications, you would see a real world difference in memory speed ( not huge) dont worry about amd or intel certified. just make sure you get 1.5volt memory in a 2x8gb setup it's not much $ to go up to 1866 or 2133... which for you i think is worth it. hope that helps Upvote 0 Downvote
