Here is the thread where I asked for help on an upgrade. (http://www.tomshardware.com/answers/id-1962835/upgrade....)

I have the new processor in, and it's working. However, now my graphic's card is on the fritz. It was working perfectly before. It's not registering as what it is. The computer is just using it as a regular card.

Thoughts?

Spec in original post. Processor upgraded to i5 3570k from Sandy Bridge.

Can you try a clean wipe of your graphics card drivers and then get the latest driver for your card off the manufacturer's site? That should do it.

try to update the bios on the motherboard. some older boards need a bios update before working properly with the latest gen cpus.
