Hi everybody. Let me just take this moment to say that I've read most if not all accounts of people being stuck at this message on this forum prior to taking the next step and making another post to account for my seemingly unsolvable variant. There just seems to be no solution and it's been driving me nuts for the last couple of days. Maybe I'm just making some really simple mistake that I've amazingly overlooked but I'm in dire need of some proffessional guidance here it seems.

The error is as briefly stated in the headline: A required CD/DVD drive device driver is missing. If you have a driver floppy disk, CD, DVD, or USB flash drive, please insert it now. Note: If the Windows installation media is in the CD/DVD drive, you can safely remove it for this step.

Specs
mobo ASUS M5A99FX PRO R2.0
ssd Samsung SSD EVO Basic 840-Series 120GB
cpu AMD FX-8320 8C 3.5GHz Black Edition
ram Corsair 8GB (2x4GB) CL9 1600Mhz VENGEANCE LP White
gpu ASUS GeForce GTX 760 DC2 OC 2048MB
ps Fractal Design Integra R2 750W 80+ Bronze
tower Fractal Design Define R4 Black

I'm going to try and keep my "progress" so far short and sweet. Here goes; I'm trying to install windows 7 x64 ultimate OS from my USB stick onto my new SSD. I wrapped the OS with a program called "Flashboot" and it's not the first time that I've done this- however it's the first time I'm building a computer too. (I've done it on some old computers using x86) Everything seems to plugged in just fine however all the lights briefly (and separately) flash red for aprox. one second when I start her up. The standby led is always bright and green, seems ok. The mobo battery seems to be working because the clock in BIOS keeps track of time and doesn't forget the time when I restart. I've tried to download some drivers off of the website and put them onto another usb for the moment when my computer asks for them, but she refuses to actually install the VERY few ones that actually show up in the list. I've also put the whole "driver" folder straight off of the mobo disc onto a USB stick and tried to load drivers from there; However she only acknowledges that a few are even there- and that's when I choose to list drivers that aren't even compatible.

I'd love to post more related info but my brain's been so scrambled the last few days that I can't even think of anything more to add to the -list-. If somebody could look over the specs and stuff and try to help me out I would be eternally grateful. Affording that computer on a university sallary isn't as easy as one might think.

PS: Please don't be afraid of this long post- I could do a tl;dr or expand much further if I'm not making myself clear!

Cheers, desperate and mildly frustrated first-timer.

Yes and yes. I've even tried switching the ssd around the grey ones, right now it is listed as '1' in the "slot section" of BIOS. It also shows the correct size of the ssd in bios if that's relevant.

Sorry but I don't see a compatibility problem. All standard components. But I'm also having problem to get the real story behind all the text.

Hey guys, I finally fixed my problem. It turns out that it was quite simple- I guess that it's quite hard to 'get your head out of the box' once you've been at a very pinpointed problem for a long time.

My solution (which I haven't read amongst the NUMEROUS other similar threads) was to use another method of putting windows on my usb other than the program "Flashboot" which I used unsuccesfully this time, but succesfully in the past.

I found a Swedish site explaining some cmd commands which I used before I c&p the OS onto the USB. Here it is:
http://windowshjalp.se/?page_id=59 I'm sure that if you don't speak Swedish it could look pretty daunting but just look for the commands, which are in English fully.

I'm only posting my solution because I know how frustrating it can be to have a very specific problem which isn't solved anywhere and even more so to actually find somebody with the same problem only to have the thread ended by "Nevermind fixed it thx".

Thanks for the help and have a good one -Swedishmeatballs
Edit: I can't pick my own answer as the solution but maybe somebody could repost it and I'll pick it for future reference.
