Upgrage Help Required

Hello everyone

i have an old pc that i have been upgrading for a while and was wondering if someone could give me a bit of advice i only want to run this pc for the time being while i save a for a better computer i currently have this CPU - Intel® Core™2 Duo Processor E6420 running at 2.13 GHz ive found a few other processors i can use like this one Intel® Core™2 Duo Processor E6850 running at 3.00 GHz if i bought the second one would i just be able to slot it where the old one is or would it not fit ?
 



that cpu isnt much of a upgrade in terms of grunt power

should be a simple drop into the board depending on your revsion should be found in bios

best processor your board supports board doesnt support the 6850
